My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lou is a very special boy who deserve a forever home of his own. Lou was once living in a shelter in Dallas, Texas where his time was up and he was close to euthanization. Luckily a very wonderful person who spends her life saving perfectly adoptable dogs from an unfair death found Lou and saved him just in time.

The rescuer in Dallas flew him to a family here in Cedar City for adoption after running out of local options and as a last resort, but the family decided after 2 months that they didn't want him anymore and he was abandoned.

He does wonderful with small dogs, and does good with most dogs his own size (has no probelm with females) but will get a little defensive at times if he feels treatened by another large male. So if you do have another dog, Lou will have to be introduced before we ok his adoption! Absolutely NO CATS! He will chase them and if caught...he won't be very nice.

He loves kids and does great with them, but he doesn't realize how big he is and has knock over a toddler on accident while trying to play in his previous home, so if you are a family with smaller children, you will need to make sure and work with Lou on his boundaries and play time manners! He is very gentle though and when he is not in "play mode" he likes to give sweet kisses and snuggles! At adoption events, the children flock to him! How could they not with that handsome warming smile?

Lou is very well behaved and knows basic commands. He likes to chase the ball and loves anything that squeaks! He is leash trained and completely house trained, including using a dog door. He is neutered and up to date on his shots, and microchipped. He is about 2 years old and ready for a family to love him forever. Lou really is an amazing dog and he deserve an amazing family. He is tired of being bounced around from place to place and is so ready to find his forever home!

If you have a place in your home and family for Lou, please contact Amber at 435-406-9049 or e-mail at arasch@amfam.com. A home check will be required.
