Riggly's Story...
Riggly is a great little dog. He is friendly and affectionate, always ready for a pet and a cuddle, and always ready to sit in someone's lap. He is outgoing and curious about the world around him, investigating everything he can on his daily walks. We think Riggly will do very well with a person who has owned a Jack Russell before. Typical of his breed, he has lots of energy and will need an active lifestyle with plenty of exercise to keep him healthy and happy. Also true to a Jack Russell's natural hunting instincts, Riggly will not do well with cats and small mammals. Unfortunately he also doesn't seem to get along with other dogs. Riggly is a people oriented dog waiting for a doting owner. He'll be a perfect companion for someone who wants him as their only pet. We are recommending him to a home with children over 8. This little charmer will no doubt capture the heart of a Jack Russell enthusiast!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Riggly, a Ithaca Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Ithaca, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Ithaca.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ithaca already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ithaca breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ithaca paves the way for another one to be saved.
