Kia's Story...
Kia is a Shelter Puppy Dog:
adoption date is 9-07-07 and can be put to sleep any time after the adoption date.

Kia lived on a ranch most of her life, when the ranch closed down, Kia moved in with a nice lady that like to feed Kia a lot of food, now this person can not care for Kia any longer and Kia didn't have any where to go, so here she is at the animal shelter. wondering why she's here and not at home with her mom or back on the ranch which she loved very much. .

Kia is around 7 years old, is Large in size, over weight, walks on a leash, sits when asked, she appears to be a super sweet & loving young lady, very alert, well mannered, sad with shelter life, some what playful, mellow, got along with dogs, cats, livestock and children, is house trained, enjoys rides in the car and is a special girl that is in need of a family to love.

Dawn gave a little test by looking in Kia's mouth, pulling on her ears and tail, holding her paw and giving her a little kiss and hug. Kia appeared to past the test with no problems, she was happy there was someone in her kennel spending time with her. Like all of our shelter dogs, we suggest a well fenced yard for Kia to play and be safe in. We feel she may make an outstanding companion and loving family member.

Act quickly to adopt Kia. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kia, a Grass Valley Border Collie/Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Husky for sale in Grass Valley, or seeking a Border Collie/Husky dog from a breeder in Grass Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grass Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grass Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Husky breeders who help with Border Collie/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grass Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
