Tyson's Story...
Tyson is a 2 year old Border Collie/Chow Mix. He was left behind when his previous owners moved out. Tyson needs a family that will have patience with him. He can be a little nervous and timid at first but would love to cuddle on the couch with you. A fenced in yard may be best for him. We have no knowledge if he has a history of being around children so we feel he might do best around children 8 or older.

Adoption fees include spaying or neutering, vaccinations (excluding Rabies), ID microchip, collar, de-worming treatments, flea/ear mite treatments, and temperament testing. There will be an addition to the adoption price, if you reside in our county, and you want to obtain a current dog license from us.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tyson, a Chambersburg Border Collie/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Chow Chow for sale in Chambersburg, or seeking a Border Collie/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Chambersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chambersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chambersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Chow Chow breeders who help with Border Collie/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chambersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
