Jules's Story...
Jules 3 to 4 yr old male lynx point Ragdoll
fostered in Santa Cruz

2013 January update: Jules is looking magnificent as you can see. He is astonishingly beautiful. He still wants to be an only cat though he is a little more mellow with other cats than he was when he came in. He is a lot of cat. He needs an adopter who will respect him and not treat him like, or expect him to be, a large gorgeous stuffed animal. You need to let him have affection and most other things on his own terms. His big trick is to come up to you, rub against your legs and dramatically noisily drop flat on his side to the floor. Thud. He rolls around looking adorable and makes sure you are watching. He does this a lot. He loves flattery and attention.

He is a bit bored with being in rescue and to be honest, I have no idea why we still have such an amazing cat. Maybe because he needs to be an only cat. That is always a harder home to find. He is not really a cat for a senior adopter. He is very big and heavy and and good-natured but also sometimes opinionated . This boy needs a middle aged, cat experienced couple with lots of room and lots of windows. Probably no kids under five feet tall. A couple who want to live with and be trained by a wonderful walking sculpture. And yes, he is a little crosseyed.

Original post:
This is an exceptionally beautiful cat. His extra silky fur has wonderful markings all over his body. Of course his colors go beautifully with his blue blue ragdoll eyes. His personality is very
loving and affectionate. He was surrendered to a shelter because he
does not get along with ( "fights with") other cats and dogs. I have just gotten him but so far I can see he does not seem cat friendly. He needs to go to a new home without other cats and dogs.

Around humans he would be happy to display himself rolling around upside down.He is very affectionate. He trusts humans to catch him repeatedly as he does his foolish, happy, goofy stuff and overbalances himself on his little shelf. "I know you will catch me"
he seems to say. He is great fun and everyone who sees him says Oh my God look at him!! And well they might. WOW.

He's wonderful. Someone will be so lucky.

He eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.

His foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jules, a Vacaville Ragdoll cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Ragdoll for sale in Vacaville, or seeking a Ragdoll cat from a breeder in Vacaville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vacaville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vacaville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Ragdoll breeders who help with Ragdoll rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vacaville paves the way for another one to be saved.
