Tiny Cleo's Story...
Cleo (she's simply too small for the full name of Cleopatra) is full of personality and worthy of being queen. She would rule her kingdom with joy and love for everyone. She would also like to be carried around at all times by her human, which would not be hard at all considering she is all of maybe around six pounds and only around 1 1/2 years old.

Cleo is most likely a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix as she looks like a dear-head Chi but has a longer body like a Dachshund. Whatever her mix, it is tiny for sure. She is not noisy or shaky like a lot of Chihuahuas can be either.

Cleo stole our hearts when we were at a shelter to get her kennel mate and she was simply so sweet, tiny and quiet that we could not leave her behind. She gets along great with every single critter, human and otherwise, at her foster home. She's a "plug and play" dog and can fit into nearly any household without much fuss (or taking much room). She absolutely adores cats too, and tried to give her foster's cat a bath!

Cleo sleeps great in a crate all night long, and appears to be housebroken. She does well on lead but, as previously stated, would prefer to be carried. Though Cleo would do well with children, we are looking for a home where any children she may be around would be at least ten years of age and older simply due to her small size.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tiny Cleo, a Oakley Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Oakley, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Oakley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakley paves the way for another one to be saved.
