BIG BOY's Story...
BIG BOY
American Bulldog Alert!!! Introducing Big Boy, the amazingly handsome American Bulldog mix that found his way to ACCT after a nice stranger found him wandering the streets. The shelter is no place for a gentle boy like him and he's not feeling so great. He's a calm, affectionate dog, who just likes to relax in the sun. Despite being very thin, he takes treats (hot dogs are his favorite) very gently and he also walks great on the leash. He lives up to his name in size but he's very underweight. Once he fills out, he's going to be the best looking dog around. He's walked with other dogs and seems to enjoy their company. The shelter is full and all dogs are urgent so please bring the whole family (resident dogs included) to meet Big Boy right away!

Act quickly to adopt BIG BOY. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BIG BOY, a Philadelphia American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog breeders who help with American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
