My name is Miss Daisy, and man, oh man am I ever glad to get out of the shelter? What was the crime that landed me there? It was a really cold scary night, and I was lost, and I scratched on someone’s door to let me in…they called the pound instead, but that is ok by me! I ended up with a great foster mommy who I love very much, and I have been rescued by Friends of The Animals Baton Rouge! I will never go back to the shelter, and I will hopefully find my forever family very soon!
My transition was not the easiest in the world, when my foster mommy picked me up I had a very bad cold, but thankfully Friends got me all the right medication and I am good as new! Not only am I ok, but I am thriving!
I have done great at my foster home, I am almost all the way house trained…I have learned to go to the door when I want to go INSIDE and have almost learned how to go to the door when I want to go OUTSIDE. I also already know how to SIT and very close to knowing STAY.
I am a little bit shy…when you first raise your hand I am a little scared at first, I drop to my belly and am very submissive….until I realize you are just wanting to pet me or play with me! Then I am soooooo happy! I love play time, I am still a puppy after all! I also love cuddles.
I need a family who will love me to the fullest, and have a gentle, patient, loving hand. My complex terrier mix gives me a lovely personality. I get along with everyone, people…young and old, other dogs, and even my foster mommy’s CATS. Go me! Hopefully I will get to meet you very soon, and you are the forever family I have been waiting my whole life to meet.
