Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Joshua's story is one of loss of hope as he wandered aimlessly through the streets on a cold, snowy night. Who knows why...but a passerby came along, scooped Joshua up and brought him to a warm, safe place. She shaved off his matts and nursed him back to being a healthy l - 1.5 year old Maltese. Joshua looks like nothing but a Maltese (with a terrible haircut) but is a larger version of the breed (or has a little something else in there).....he weighs approximately 15 lbs and has longer legs than your typical dog of that breed.... but the face is unmistakably Maltese. Joshua is described as an incredibly loving and submissive guy...he just wants the world to be a peaceful place. No one ever put time into this adorable guy...therefore whoever makes him a family member will need to house train (shouldn't be too difficult with consistency as he's over a year old) and teach general skills of house behavior. If you have the time and enthusiasm for training...you will end up with an exceptional Maltese with a great temperament. Joshua seems to love everyone but we envision him in an adult-only home where he's truly a member of the family and gets to go along on family adventures. Joshua is a non-shedding pup so periodic grooming is necessary for a healthy coat.
Joshua is being fostered in Denver. Applications are currently being accepted for this exceptional companion.
