I've never considered myself a real "cat person," but something about Sonny certainly changed that. It could be his enormous Puss-in-Boots eyes or his soft, fuzzy, grey fur. Or perhaps it was his outstanding intelligence and striking personality that won over my heart. It also very well may have been his crazy love of pasta that made it hazardous to set down a bowl of spaghetti anywhere in the house! The real thing that made me realize Sonny was special was his sensitivity to emotions. If I was having a bad day, I could always count on Sonny to rush to my side and purr deeply on my chest. It helped every time!

Sonny had a rough start to his life. He was brought to VOKRA as part of a feral colony. Through a lot of patience and kindness, Sonny learned to gain the trust of people. He will do best in a house with a gentle atmosphere and no small children.

Sonny is very bonded to his sister Kiniki, and they MUST go to a home together. They are both shy at first but with time, affection, and a handful of treats, these kittens will be a wonderful addition to your life!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sonny, a Vancouver Domestic Longhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Longhair kitten from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
