Sophie's Story...
Hi! My name is Sophie and I am the sweetest girl ever (or so my foster mom tells me)! I am a 3 1/2 year old Pyrnees/ Lab mix (that's our best guess) and I am SOOOOO ready to find my forever home. I really need to be an only dog because I am very selective about what dogs I like, however I am a big fan of kitties. That's why my foster mom thought it would be good to post my picture here amongst all the cats. I would do best in a home with someone who has big dog experience so they can help me to be the best girl I can be!
I was rescued from a local shelter where they just had an over abundance of big dogs so I am so lucky my foster mom picked me! There were lots of dogs to choose from but she said I had the sweetest face and the best disposition (whatever that is)! I love to go for car rides and my favorite place to go is the place with the "golden arches" out front where I get my favorite treat! I know to potty outside and I know basic commands (I will do anything for a treat!) I am currently an indoor dog only because I am a couch potato but I am also really good at letting my foster mommy know if anyone comes into our yard!
I am spayed, microchipped, and up to date on my shots so my foster mom tells me "i am ready to go".... now all I need is a home where I can be a spoiled rotten only dog! Could that be with you?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Weatherford Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Weatherford, or seeking a Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Weatherford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Weatherford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Weatherford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Weatherford paves the way for another one to be saved.
