Lucky's Story...
Hi Everyone!
I’m Lucky, a very handsome and loving Bichon boy of eight who is the perfect blend of playful and calm. I love to go on walks, rides in the car and to be with other dogs and people. I love my toys (we’ll get to that in a minute) yet I’m also good at sharing. That makes me the bestest kind of friend.
Last week I was very sad because I did not know what was happening. My ‘original Mom’ got very sick and was going to Heaven and couldn’t take me. I was very sad but she told me to be a big boy and then she told me that I would find another Mom (and maybe a Dad, too) who would love me like she did. So I became a FurKid and gosh, my original Mom was right. I now have a foster Mom who is giving me lots of love and attention -- and that helps me feel better already. I also have doggy foster brothers and sisters. And once I’m in my Forever Home with my Forever Family, well then life will be just as wonderful as it can possibly be.
Did I mention that I love my toys? Well I do, especially my squeaky little snake toy. You see, when I can’t find someone to play with me, I toss it into the air and then catch it! Mom says that also I do the cutest darn thing when I’m playing. You see, I like to start to play, then stop and check to be sure Mom is watching me – then I start playing all over again. She says I seem to enjoy it more when I know she is looking – and that I am, once again, enjoying the little things in life like toys, treats and companionship.
I’m very eager to please, cute, snuggly, friendly, and affectionate. I’m good with children (and grandchildren), know a bunch of commands, am smart and a great listener! I’m housebroken (I use the doggy door like a champ) and sensitive to your needs.
So if you’re looking for a handsome, happy, loving little guy who likes to go for walks and rides and give and receive lots of love, then I’m the guy for the job. Mom says you can see in my eyes how happy I am when I am loved and near you! So if I sound like your kind of guy, please ask for me.
Tail wags and more,
Loveable, Lively and Loyal Lucky
PS Mom also says to tell you that I use my paws to let her know when I need more belly rubs or petting. She says I do a great job of ‘encouraging’ her. Of course that proves how smart Mom is too!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucky, a La Costa Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise for sale in La Costa, or seeking a Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in La Costa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in La Costa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a La Costa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise breeders who help with Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in La Costa paves the way for another one to be saved.
