Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kashu (kah-shoo), which means "singer", is a 6 1/2 year old pure bred Black and Tan female Shiba that we just took in March 19th. Her owner was not able to afford to keep her anymore and was even having financial troubles himself due to his job.
Kashu is good with other dogs and cats. She is good with people but is a bit more independent. She is good with kids but so far isn't a big player with children.
Kashu is potty trained and is working on crate training. For whatever reason she was completely quiet in her crate at our Intake Coordinator's house when first taken in but two foster homes since she will vocalize in her crate. We're not sure if crating her next to another dog who is also crated may help as this was the setup in the Intake Coordinator's home, or we were also told that one of the foster homes was letting her out when she would scream so she also began to learn that vocalizing gets her out. Due to her vocalizing, she may not be a good choice for an apartment at this time.
Kashu may also do best with 5-6 foot fencing as she can leap a baby gate should she so desire.
Kashu's adoption fee is $275.00 which includes her spay, microchip, distemper vaccination and professional training course.
