Fiona's Info...

Fiona's Story...
Fiona is a 3-year-old, extremely loving and gentle Shih-Tzu mix rescued from the city shelter after she was tied up and abandoned outside the building. It is hard to understand how anyone could commit such a callous (and illegal) act against any animal, but especially Fiona. This dog is the sweetest little "lap dog." Fiona is wonderful with other pets -- including CATS and indeed, she doesn't have a mean bone in her tiny, 11 lb body. Fiona is playful, active and loves going for walks and chewing on rawhide bone. She is a total bundle of sheer joy who reminds one of "Toto" from the Wizard of Oz. If interested in Fiona, you MUST HAVE committed dog ownership experience AND a checkable vet referance. DO NOT EMAIL US. Please call (212) 427-8273. We do not expect to have Fiona long. She is a total sweetheart

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fiona, a New York Shih Tzu/Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Cairn Terrier for sale in New York, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
