Addie's Story...
Hi my name is Addie. My siblings and I were found at the county pound by my foster mom. We only had three days left, and then they were going to put us down. Thankfully our foster mom got us out in time. Now I need your help. All of my siblings have been adopted, and are leaving on the 26th April, and if you dont give me a home, I will be left here all by myself, without my own family. Can you please help me. My foster mom saids Im a wonderful little girl and I will make a awesome family pet. She saids I will be fixed, whatever that means, have three of my puppy shots (ouch) and my kennel cough shot, and be dewormed (which sounds yukie). So will you help me out and let me be a part of your family. My foster mom said that you will be one happy family if I become yours.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Addie, a Portland Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
