Woofie's Story...
Woofie, tough name for a sweet little girl. She could not stay with her owner, so we promised to find her a good home. She showed us pretty fast that she is a lap dog, and loves any kind of attention. She plays well with other dogs and is house and kennel trained. She is a Chihuahua mix with a cute curled tail, only 10 months old, 12#, spayed and microchipped and is current on all vaccinations.
If you would like to meet Woofie, please go to our website and complete an application, www.wimberleywagrescue.org. Applications are considered in the order in which they are received and we require an application before a meet & greet. Once we have your application we will set up a convenient time for you to meet the dog. Our dogs are meant to be companion animals. We DO NOT condone chaining. Thank you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Woofie, a Wimberley Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Wimberley, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Wimberley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wimberley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wimberley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wimberley paves the way for another one to be saved.
