My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ginger greatly enjoyed her bath and Oh my.... is that a smile on her new face? She knows that life is going to be good for her now!

Ginger has learned all about being in a home. She is so curious about everything and anything. I opened up the refrigerator door and she climbed right into it to see “What’s in here?” When I flush the toilet, she looks to see..."What's THAT??" I even found her looking into our bath tub, then looking at me to say... "What the...???"

She is the first to climb into our dishwasher when I open that door up: “What’s in Here!?” Then you should see her face when I open the refrigerator door!

Ginger is a "VELCRO POODLE" who follows me everywhere and I’m always tripping over her as she hasn’t learned to move out of the way.

While she is a puppy mill rescued Poodle who greatly enjoys being in my lap, she does like to have the companionship of other dogs. Ginger doesn't know how to play with toys or with the other Poodles. She just wants to be with you.

Ginger is such a strong, inspirational and "willing to survive" little girl, yet a very tender hearted, soft and gentle Poodle who could easily be taken advantaged of. Please no small children.

Ginger is leashed trained to go for a walk with her new harness. However, a small fenced yard will be nice. She will not go far.

We have very little information about Ginger. But we do know that she is approximately 8 years old, is 11" tall, a was a chunky 11.34 pounds and had been producing puppies all her life. Ginger has lost some weight and now weighs a healthy 9 pounds!

Pictures on our web site show a sad Poodle and how badly she had been neglected before arriving here. She is a very quiet Poodle who came to us from a Wisconsin Amish puppy mill along with many other dogs being culled from their breeding program.

Blood work-up showed that all was “normal”. She was heartworm tested negative, and they were able to clean the rot from her mouth. Only 2 teeth were removed, but she has very few teeth left anyway.

Our Vet spayed her and after more surgeries, the remaining large, ping-pong sized mammary tumors were removed. Can you just imagine the pain this little girl has been in while she continued to produce litters of puppies??!! Tests show we are NOT dealing with cancer, just a sad case of severe neglect.

Everyone at my Vet’s office just loved (and felt sorry for) her. What a sweet and special little girl! I have found that she is forgiving of all that has happened to her as she is very sweet, gentle and only wants love and attention.

NOTICE: ALL VET WORK HAS BEEN DONE!! Ginger now needs a home of her own where she can enjoy the loving arms of a family with whatever time she has left. We will even accept a "long term" foster care if you are interested in doing that.

Ginger has had a horrible life of abuse, neglect and abandonment. We are seeking a family willing to accept this and to provide her comfort and love for the remaining time she has left. This little Poodle girl is certainly entitled to a loving "forever more" family at the end of her hard and sad life before she goes to our God's loving arms.

Your small adoption fee of $100.00 will help pay for just some of her Vet expenses. Her kennel, leash, collar, a bag of dog food, a new bed, blanket, jacket, toys and lots of information have all been donated.

Pease visit our web site for more pictures. Then contact us for more information about Ginger or if you would like her "Application For Adoption".
