My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

When Sally finally allowed herself to be rescued she was severely malnourished, unspayed, heartworm positive, but with an endearing, grateful attitude. After treatment, rehab and regular TLC she blossomed into a beautiful, sweet dog. She is a Treeing Walker Hound, about 3 years old and now in excellent physical health. Typical of the breed, Sally’s instinct is to follow her nose where ever it leads. Not only is she obsessively motivated by scent, she is also extremely agile and can climb or escape most typical fences to pursue her goal. Sally needs to be in a home and part of a family. She would love to go on long walks and she certainly should not be left outside unattended.She enjoys playing with other dogs, is house trained, knows basic obedience commands and leash skills. Sally will be a loving companion to the right person who can provide her the balance of supervision, safety and exercise she needs.
