Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Priscilla (formerly Princess) is an 8 year old spayed Maltese/Poodle mix that looks more like a Cairn/ Chihuahua with her course terrier hair. She was an owner surrender when the owner moved to a no pet apartment recently. Priscilla lived with this owner for 7 years, after being found as a stray dog when she was about 1 year old. She lived a very happy life with her female owner and several teenagers until this month when circumstances changed where they lived. Priscilla will bark at men when she first meets men but then settles down. At 14 lbs. she could stand to lose 3 of them and loves to go for short walks that can be increased as the ounces come off. She is good in the car and is a very happy girl.
If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our dog adoption application. Our dog adoption fee is $200. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash and a month's worth of heartworm preventative.
With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.
All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have one employee. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.
