Dempsey's Story...
this adorable little boy is 10 months old and 11lbs, he looks like a shih tzu/poodle mix, when we rescued him one of his back legs had been fractured and the orthopedic surgeon decided that the best course of action was to leave as is - little Dempsey will always have an odd gait on one of his back legs and holds it out to the side a little but it does not slow him down, he loves to run and play with the other dogs, he has a really sweet personality and is one friendly little guy, he is learning house training and could do with some leash training, he just loves attention and likes to climb up on your lap to get petted, he is just one sweet little happy dog

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dempsey, a Norwalk Shih Tzu/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Norwalk, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Norwalk.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Norwalk already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Norwalk breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Norwalk paves the way for another one to be saved.
