My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BeBe is a sweetheart. She is a pup still at approximately 8 - 10 months old. She has a lovely temperament and gets along well with other pets and children of all ages. She is a gentle dog, calm by nature and reserved but friendly with her approach to strangers. She is very in tune with her people and is a loyal and loving companion. She is small and currently weighs just 24 lbs.

Here is what her foster family had to say:

Bebe has been an absolute joy to have in our home. She is a beautiful dog and has stole the heart of so many people just by her gorgeous face. Bebe's right eye is blue and her left eye is brown. Bebe's markings almost give her a "camo" look. We own 4 dogs of our own (ranging in age from 1 yr old to 15 yrs old) and she has been getting along with all of them very well. Bebe has also been exceptionally well behaved with our two sons which are 5 yrs old and 10 yrs old. She has not shown any aggression to our dogs or any people while she's been in our care. The only time we catch Bebe showing shyness now is when a new person enters our home that she hasn't met yet, however; she doesn't take long to open up to them and approach them.

Bebe is very excited about meeting other dogs. We have 4 male dogs of our own and she enjoys spending time with all of them. She is very playful and full of energy and loves running around in the backyard playing chase with them. While walking Bebe she does show interest in other dogs she meets along the way and wants to sniff them. Bebe hasn't barked at other dogs while walking her though.

We have found that Bebe came to us knowing the commands "come" and "down". She doesn't know any tricks yet but we are working on them with her. When she is first placed in her crate she may bark or whine for a short time. This display doesn't last long before she curls up and falls asleep. Bebe would likely steal food from the table if she was left unattended, however; she has been doing great with us correcting her when she tries. Counter surfing hasn't been an issue. We have caught Bebe chewing on a doggy bed in our home but she has never attempted to chew it again after being corrected the one time. Bebe is fully house trained. When she wants to go outside she stands at our backdoor and paces a bit and when she wants to come in she stands at our backdoor again and sometimes lets out a bark to tell us she's there. Bebe is nearly leash trained. She requires some correcting to her pulling during a walk but once she's on a roll without pulling I give her plenty of praise and I can see how proud she is to be doing a good job. Bebe is great in the car. She picks a seat and either sits in it staring out the window or she curls up in the seat and falls asleep.

Her favourite thing to do would be to play in the backyard with our dogs playing chase with her. Bebe also absolutely loves her walks!! At the end of the day she enjoys laying on the couch or in bed with us getting scratched and cuddled while she sleeps. Bebe's energy level is moderate. She is up for any activity that comes her way. She is a very fast runner and would likely love an owner that enjoys jogging. The only time we have heard her barking is mainly when she is first crated or when she is asking to come inside from the backyard.

I feel that Bebe is a very well-rounded dog. She is incredibly friendly to adults, children, and other dogs. Since Bebe is still a puppy I think she would do best with a family that can walk her daily to give her the exercise she loves so much. Having a good sized backyard for her to play in would be a great bonus for Bebe as well. Bebe would be a breeze to train well as she is always eager to please. You can see her light up when she knows she has done well and is being praised. She is very obedient and easily corrected. Bebe has a lot of love to give and more kisses than you could imagine as well. She is an absolutely sweet dog that won't be forgotten by her foster family. She has made a great impression on everyone she has met.
