TAWNY's Story...
Hey There! Tawny (A19644286) over here! How are you? I'm doing okay, but I'm hoping you can help me out here. I hear you're looking for a new best friend and you know what? I am too! I'm a 1-2 year old Pomeranian Mix. Can you believe I was a stray? Me either! I'm really happy here at the shelter, but I would be super de duper happy if I had a family of my own! I'm a little shy, but one thing is for sure, I absolutely love people! Even when I'm a bit afraid I have no problem snuggling right up to my human friends! I'm only 11 pounds so what do ya say we fit me into your heart? Here at the shelter I'm a part of the Benefactor Program. This means I help the shelter generate more funds for the rest of my buddies while they wait for there homes just like me. My adoption fee is $250.00. I come with all of my vaccinations, a micro-chip, and my spay surgery. If you think I might be the dog for you please call my shelter family at 267-385-3800 or email them at adopt@acctphilly.org. Can't wait? Head down now to 111 W. Hunting Park Ave Phila Pa 19140! See you soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

TAWNY, a Philadelphia Pomeranian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Pomeranian dog from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian breeders who help with Pomeranian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
