Facts about Stop Sign

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Black & White Or Tuxedo
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 743
  • Hair: Short
Stop Sign is grateful to be alive and she will tell you all about her ordeal. she loves to talk to you.
StopSign got her name because she was found laying in the middle of the road. The good Samaritan stopped thinking she might be dead but she wasn't, just a full grown cat weighing less than 4 lbs, all skin and bones and too weak to walk or eat. Stop Sign was nursed back to health with vetting, syringe feedings, fluids and lots and lots of tender loving care.

The vet thinks she might have been hit by a car since she had some mouth trauma but with surgery and meds she mended and is as good as new. She had no other injuries. She was lucky and she knows it!

This loving girl loves to keep us company especially in the kitchen where she has her favorite bed.
She gets along GREAT with all other cats, rubbing against them like they are her long, lost best friends. She truly is one of the happiest cats I have ever seen and I honestly believe she knows that she came back from the dead and is very, very happy to be alive.
She always makes me smile.

The vet estimates her age as around 2 years, maybe younger. She is now spayed, current on vaccines, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped and is dewormed.
Please email her foster mom for more information and to arrange to meet Stop Sign.Thank you.

About Southern Counties Rescue (Mission Viejo, CA)

About Our Rescue Group...

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit cat rescue group (+ a few dogs). We rescue abandoned cats & kittens from the streets and high kill city animal shelters in Orange, Los Angeles, Imperial and San Diego counties.
We also help people who need to rehome their pets through our Community Foster Program in that we post the cats on our internet sites and accept applications for them. We also help the owner screen applicants and bring their cats to our adoption events but we cannot physically take them since we are foster based. We do not have a physical shelter, we foster in our homes, not in cages which is a more natural environment for cats.
Lastly, we help reduce the number of unwanted kittens with TNR (Trap-Netuer/spay-Release) by loaning traps and instructing others on how to TNR and by referring people to low cost S/N clinics.
