My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gypsy is a blue merle Catahoula mix with a bob tail. She is a smaller dog, at approximately 2 years old she weighs about 40 pounds. She is an amazing little girl who deserves one of the best forever homes where she can be loved and cherished forever. She was involved in a house fire where her owner died. Gypsy and her two sisters got out without being hurt. They were then loose for a couple of weeks to fend for themselves until they were caught. Her sisters got adopted but Gypsy is still waiting for her forever home. She has been waiting for her forever home for eight months because she is shy.
Her story is so sad, yet she is so friendly and loving. She is a little bit shy at first because of everything she has been through, but once she opens up and trusts, she is a loving girl. And once we had an open foster home spot for her we brought her into foster to help give this girl the chance she deserves.
She went to the shelter where she was found to be HW possitive. Her sweet disposition slowly came out, and once she started to trust she quickly became a shelter favorite.
Gypsy has been treated for heartworm, spayed and brought current on her vaccines. Gypsy loves to go for walks, she rides very well in the car, is crate trained and house broken. In foster care, Gypsy gets along well with larger and smaller dogs, cats and loves children. She gives kisses and will snuggle on the couch if you let her. If you are interested in this dog please contact Northeast Rep for Catahoula Rescue, Donna Keen njcatahoulas@verizon.net or phone 908-578-4172.. You will then be forwarded an application to adopt and it is a good start. You are not obligated by filling out an application but it helps us get a feel for you and yours to see if Gypsy is a match. If you can't reach Donna Keen please feel free to phone Janeen Jackson 406-323-3519 or email jj4@midrivers.com
