Checkers's Story...
What his foster says about him:::::So here is what I know about Checkers.1) LOVES attention. 2) Loves it out side so he would benefit from a fenced in yard, kitt pool, and dog house. Maybe even a doggy house. 3) Great in the car. 4) Potty trained. 5) Loves to play and excersize. Hes been on blades and walks. 6) SNUGGLE BUG! 7) Watch dog. He knows how to warn you. 8) Loves a good bone. 9)With his heavy fur, he woudl need to stay a "light" coat in the summer. 10) Likes to play in the water and attempt to get the ducks. He tries thoughand it makes him happy, thats all that matters. I don't know why some one would give him up. He's smart and loving. He would make anyone happy!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Checkers, a Newaygo Australian Shepherd/Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Collie for sale in Newaygo, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Collie dog from a breeder in Newaygo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newaygo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newaygo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Collie breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newaygo paves the way for another one to be saved.
