If I had to describe Rocket in just a few words, they would be kind, friendly and big-hearted! Not only does he love attention, he really tries hard to please everyone. He really enjoys going for walks. Sometimes he may pull a bit because he is just so happy to go out and explore, so he may need an occasional reminder not to pull. He is also a big fan of stuffed toys. Rocket shows a lot of interest in cats and should not be trusted with them. If the behavior is strongly and consistently discouraged, this may improve in time. Rocket enjoys the company of other greyhounds, but he may show a strong interest in smaller dogs. Caution should be used around smaller pets. This is one boy eager to meet his forever family and show just how much love he has to offer!
Foster Home Update: Hi, My name is Rocket. I am here to tell you a little about myself. I am a retired racer and enjoying every minute of it. Most of the time I love to lie around and do nothing, but I like to go for walks around the neighborhood or to parks, or a good romp in the yard is fun too. I like to throw toys around; I have a fluffy purple pillow that I carry everywhere I can. I love the teens that I am staying with and all their friends. They touch and pet me all the time, but when I’m done I go lie down. I prefer to sleep on my pillow by myself or with another pup. If I feel uncomfortable I get up and walk away, my foster family taught me that. I would not make a very good cuddle pup or lap dog. I follow all house rules and love treats when I do something good. I am very sweet and lovable if given the chance. I can go on and on but it is time for my evening romp in the yard. Call Royal Hounds if you would like more info on me so we can set up a date.
