Well hello there! My name is Lincoln! You may have noticed my copper fur coat – it looks a lot like a shiny penny. Don’t worry, there’s more to me than good looks!
I’m only a year old, and I came into NBS as a very shy stray in need of some love and care. Luckily, the volunteers at NBS were pretty gratuitous with the kindness and the treats. Food is the way to one’s heart ya know! Since then, I’ve gotten much more confident . Oh – and I’m also doing very well with potty training. (I did say I love treats, right?)
Did I mention I’m also a gentleman? I’m very polite when I meet new people, other dogs and I don’t bother my foster mom’s cat either. Actually, my favorite toy is this stuffed kitten, because it doesn’t hiss when I play with him. Most importantly – I’m an excellent snuggler. A guy like me loves nothing more than to be close to you, and nose dive into the blankets for some cuddling. I like to make myself comfortable, and sometimes sleep with my legs in the air. My foster parents say I’m a very funny and expressive guy. I’m really hoping to find a home where I can be myself, learn new things and be loved for the very sweet boy I am.

My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, De-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food. You can fill out a simple online adoption application at www.nbsar.org and we will start processing your application right away! We do require that persons interested in meeting me apply online and be approved as an adopter first so please visit our website and submit your application today! Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on it's vaccinations and heartworm preventative as well as spayed/neutered unless there is a documented medical reason on file with your veterinarian. Dogs must be current on DHLPP, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative, cats must be current on Distemper, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative at the time of application. While I hope that you have fallen in love with me and will fill out an adoption application right away, I understand if I might not be the perfect pup for your family.
