Buddy's Story...
Meet Buddy, a super cute Border Collie/Australian Shepherd puppy.
Buddy was rescued from the Ft. Worth shelter where he'd run out of time. He's about 4 months old and 23 pounds. He'll be about 50 pounds when full-grown. He's in a foster home right now where he enjoys playing with the big dogs. He's housetrained, uses a doggie door, and sleeps all night in a crate. He's eager to please and is learning to walk on a leash. Buddy is neutered, current on vaccinations, and on flea and heartworm preventative. The adoption fee is only $95 and allows us to help more animals. He'll be available for adoption on Saturday, April 20. For more information or to arrange to meet Buddy, please email HarlyB@aol.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a Weatherford Border Collie/Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd for sale in Weatherford, or seeking a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Weatherford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Weatherford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Weatherford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Border Collie/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Weatherford paves the way for another one to be saved.
