Scrappy's Story...
Scrappy is a 3yr old terrier mix who has had a rough life!! He is missing part of an ear and has had a spinal injury that has left him with a silly wiggle walk on the back end. Although he walks funny it doesn't slow him down and he can chase his ball anywhere you throw it!! He is friendly and likes being pet and gets along well with other dogs and cats. He will need a little extra attention since his injury has left him with some bowel and bladder incontinence from time to time but it is limited when he is taken out for a potty regularly. This little guy was going to be put down at only 3 because it was thought nobody would take him..... LET'S PROVE THE SYSTEM WRONG!!!! He has many years of fun, love, and laughs to share I can't imagine this guy not being a great addition to any home! We'd love him to find a furever home but he will also be up for fostering

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scrappy, a Joplin Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Joplin, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Joplin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Joplin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Joplin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Joplin paves the way for another one to be saved.
