My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Simon and Spencer have been adopted together! To see their adoption photo, go to http://schnauzerrescue.net/Happy%20Endings%202013.htm. Simon & Spencer have been together their whole lives. Simon is 9 years old and Spencer is 10 years. Their owner had to give them up due to the owner's health. Simon & Spencer are both very nice boys and they get along with other dogs. Both are current on their vaccines, they had their teeth cleaned, they are neutered and Simon had a lump removed

Simon and Spencer are sweet boys with wonderful personalities! They both enjoy playing catch and one of their favorite toys is a tennis ball! Simon and Spencer sit for treats and give you their paw. Spencer even likes to give high fives! They enjoy being petted, but also like to play independently and occupy themselves. If you're petting Spencer and then stop, he will "pet" you with his paw to remind you he's there. So cute! And, being older has its advantages! They are well behaved and let you know when they need to go outside to do their business simply by sitting and looking at you. They enjoy walking and sniffing out bunnies, but they also quickly do their business and are ready to go back inside.

Rescue Schnauzers usually weigh between 15-25 pounds, they are up to date on shots, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered prior to placement. We make reasonable efforts to evaluate the health and temperament of each dog, however we cannot make any guarantees. We are not a shelter and do not have a central facility. All dogs are kept in foster homes located throughout the area we cover.

PLEASE NOTE: We rescue schnauzers in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC and southern Pennsylvania. We can only accept applications within a reasonable driving distance of our areas of coverage. Please read the list at the top of the on-line application to see if you are in our area. For a rescue contact in other areas, please go to our website http://www.schnauzerrescue.net and click on Rescue Links. We have a need for volunteers in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Our website also features lots of great information about the rescue process, book reviews and training tips - plus the best schnauzer items for purchase! All proceeds benefit schnauzers in need. Thanks for your support!
