Bitsy's Story...
Meet Bitsy, a 3 1/2-month-old Lab/Basset mix puppy. Bitsy, aka itsy Bitsy, got her name because she is the smallest of the pack. Don't let her size fool you! What she lack in height, she makes up for with enthusiasm. She may have to jump to get up the front step, but she can get under her litter mates and tackle them! She is a little shy at first, but warms up...you can win her heart with belly rubs. Bitsy is housetrained (3-4 hour windows), crate trained and will sit for meals and treats. She is currently working on leash training and manners. Bitsy is spayed, current on vaccinations, microchipped, and on flea and heartworm prevention. She is only 3 1/2 months old and 15 lbs. She is sweet, playful, and good with people, children and other dogs. Her adoption fee is only $95 and allows us to help more animals. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bitsy, a Weatherford Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound for sale in Weatherford, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound puppy from a breeder in Weatherford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Weatherford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Weatherford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Weatherford paves the way for another one to be saved.
