Sparky!'s Story...
Sparky is an 8 year old Rat Terrier who gets along really well with dogs (both big and small). He's potty trained and crate trained. He loves to cuddle, but don't let that gray muzzle fool you....this funny boy has a TON of energy! He doesn't like to be cornered and he's a wannabe escape artist, so his ideal home would be one without small children.

$225 adoption fee applies. All dogs go home spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped & with some supplies. The first 30 days of all adoptions are a trial period & if things don't work out 75% of your adoption fee is refunded.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sparky!, a Seahurst Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Seahurst, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Seahurst.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Seahurst already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Seahurst breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Seahurst paves the way for another one to be saved.
