Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Penny is a beautiful medium sized girl who was returned to us after two years because she is not getting along with the other dog in the home. He is getting older and she thinks she is the boss of the territory. She is being worked with at the Dog Rehabilitation Center of Maine (thank you Sergei and Lisa!) and they are finding that she loves to play with other dogs, especially males of her size.
Penny is 3 years old and we think she is a spaniel mix of some sort but it's hard to tell in these photos after she had a haircut.
She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and preventatives, and is a healthy sweet girl! She has been great with children of all ages and is considered a medium energy girl. She can be a little shy when meeting new people but warms up quickly. She is not used to a lot of alone time but does fine when she needs to be alone. She shares treats even with her 1 1/2 year old human sibling. We don't have any info about Penny with cats.
Penny knows a few commands and is a smart girl, ready for action!
To apply to adopt this dog, please visit our web site to access our application and learn more about adoption through Lucky Pup Rescue, www.luckypuprescue.org.
Please note, we do not have a physical location, but we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.
