Maxwell Smart's Story...
I came to AWLMC from a nice lady that rescue cats from the Humane Society of Prince Georges County and then works with rescues to find us a safe place to find a new home. I am a handsome gray tabby with gold eyes. I am a big boy and super loveable. I love attention and will seek you out to be petted and loved on. I purr a lot and am a happy boy. I like to be held and will also sit near your while you watch tv or read. I love to play with string toys and the laser pointer. I am curious and active and looking for a home to match my fun personality. I was born in 2010.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maxwell Smart, a Gaithersburg Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Gaithersburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Gaithersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gaithersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gaithersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gaithersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
