Bolt's Story...
"Hello! I'm one of the most handsome Pit Bull Terriers you'll ever meet. My name is BOLT, and I'm just 10 months old. I'm as sweet as can be, and I sure do love being around people! I'm a big boy with an even bigger heart. My owner became ill and could no longer take care of me, and that's why I'm here at the shelter looking for a new forever home. Let me tell you a bit about myself. I enjoy going for walks, and I like to chase balls around the play yard. I'd need a yard in my new home, and I'd love to have a snuggly dog bed in the house so that I could be close to my family at night. I've already been house trained, and I'd need to be the only dog in my new home. I would be a wonderful pet in a home with older children. You really must come meet me at the El Cajon Animal Shelter in order to truly appreciate my beautiful markings and my gorgeous eyes. We could get to know one another in the shelter's lovely play yard. I'll be watching for you, so please come soon. Love, Bolt" Kennel #48

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bolt, a El Cajon Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
