Athena is a beautiful, chocolate colored cattle dog mix. You'd think because of her size she would not be so light on her feet but she is agile and impressive! With just the right training, she'd be an awesome frisbee partner... and definitely a joggers dream dog! Athena is about 2.5 yrs old and weighs about 55-60lbs. She's a bouncy, happy high energy girl that loves to run, then run some more. Although she's lived with numerous other dogs, she can be a bossy, dominant thing so she'd do best as the only dog in the home or with another large dog as her playmate. Proper dog introductions are a must with her. She's great with kids but because she'd rather run, prance and jump.. kids should be over about 9 yrs old. She LOVES people and is super affectionate.. Athena is crate trained and potty trained. She'll do great in an active home with an owner that can take her on lots of walks, hikes and jogs... or play chase and fetch with her in a 6ft fenced backyard. And definitely NO cats for this girl! (no bunnies, chickens etc..) She has a prey drive for little critters! Athena was rescued from a shelter which euthanizes for space. She is spayed, vaccinated and chipped. She just completed a 3 week training course at Scatter Creek Kennels in Tenino and knows ALL of her basic commands now!
