Suzie's Story...
Meet Suzie, a silly playful gal who loves walks in the parks and riding in a basket on the front of your bike, feeling the breeze in her long hair! She is quite the diva of the house with her great spunky attitude, and a perpetual smile on her face. She sleeps in her kennel, and will go to her kennel for quiet time if she wants to. Suzie is two years old, up to date on all her shots, micro-chipped and spayed. She is great with other dogs, but thinks that cats are something to play with and some cats do not like to be played with. She will need a bit more training while walking on a leash, and with potty training. 99% of the time she makes it outside, but there are still accidents from time to time. She would love to find her forever home and family. If you are ready for a lifetime commitment and a lifetime of love please fill out a statement of interest at www.alternativehumanesociety.com under the adoptable dogs section.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Suzie, a Bellingham Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
