Simona's Story...
Simona is a beautiful young calico kitty who was recently rescued from a parking lot in Gowanus. She raised a litter of kittens there, tucking them safely away from danger and taking great care of them before they could be taken in by Infinite Hope and adopted. Now it's Simona's turn to find a great home! She is a gentle, snuggly cat who is currently being fostered with one of her friends from the street, Mr. Henry (also available for adoption). Simona is about 2 years old and is spayed, vaccinated, and negative for FIV/FeLV.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simona, a Brooklyn Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
