Pilo's Story...
Pilo is a pointer/lab mix we suspect, we really aren't sure but she does not bay like a hound. She is about 9=10 months old and very sweet. She is spayed, up to date with shots, and microchipped. She is also on HW preventative. She is doing very well with house training and hasn't had an accident in days, she will whine to go out. She can sit on command and will usually come when called, she seems to be pretty obedient and easily corrected. If you are interested in this sweet girl, go to www.hubbardshounds.com and submit an application. NO PHONE CALLS!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pilo, a Homer Pointer/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer/Labrador Retriever for sale in Homer, or seeking a Pointer/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Homer.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homer already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homer breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Pointer/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homer paves the way for another one to be saved.
