Shorty's Story...
Shorty has come to us because his owner passed away suddenly. He has been cared for beautifully by the man who loved him and the other 6 still remaining in his home. We are doing the best we can with placement but it's kitten season and people want a younger cat, not a 5 year old handsome Mackral Tabby. Shorty enjoys being picked up and loved. He is nervous in foster care and needs a home he can call his own. He allows petting and picking up, just would need a place that has less going on. Shorty is a good boy, when I arrived at the person's home, Shorty greeted me. So therefore he just needs a place to feel secure. We do not know if this handsome boy was ever around young children, but he was around older. If you can give him a chance and would like to place a much needy cat a home (and maybe one of his house mates?) please contact me - 'saracats.julia@gmail.com'. Shorty is updated on shots and fixed. He is also negative for FIV/FELV.

His first photo shows me scratching under his chin which he loves.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shorty, a Berkeley Hts Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Berkeley Hts, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Berkeley Hts.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley Hts already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley Hts breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley Hts paves the way for another one to be saved.
