Thor's Story...
We are very pleased to have the handsome Thor for adoption, a young Rottweiler born around July 2012 who weighs in at 56 pounds. A rescue from a high-kill pound, he appears to have been poorly treated but it's all behind him now and there is not a mean bone in this sweet dog's body. Thor is getting along well with the other dogs at his foster home, including small and senior, and has been learning new things every day. He sits for treats and is very respectful. Thor loves all the positive attention he is getting and is showing us that he is a wonderful dog. This gentle boy is sure to steal someone's heart soon.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Thor, a Rigaud Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Rigaud, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Rigaud.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rigaud already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rigaud breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rigaud paves the way for another one to be saved.
