My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Here’s Drew, the best dog a family could ask for! Drew is a Walker Hound (full name Treeing Walker Coon Hound!) and he is one year old. A Walker hound is called a beagle on stilts! Drew was rescued out of a high kill Georgia shelter on his last day and he’s been in foster care waiting for his ride to Washington since then. But now he is on his way and ready to meet you!! Drew is super mellow, yet ready to go. He is quiet and affectionate, but also loves his walks and his play time. He can entertain himself in a big yard or spread out on a bed in the house…Drew is Mr. Mellow dude. Hounds make great family dogs! Drew gets along great with kids and other dogs and it will be easy to love Drew. Drew weighs 42 lbs and is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. He will be arriving into Federal Way on Monday, April 22nd and available to meet right away. Drew enjoys his outdoor time but also likes time with you. He is crate trained and housetrained and rides great in the car. He will ready for adventure and exploration, dog parks and fun times with his new family. He is fine around cats, horses and other dogs as his foster family had it all! In Georgia hounds are considered “the throw-away” dogs but in WA we know them as the great family dogs they truly are. Drew is not a barker or a howler and will be happy hanging out with you and doing whatever you want to do! Drew is just a great guy and super easy to love.
