Mylie's Story...
My name is Mylie and I'm a smiley lovey girl. I'm a three year old boxer mix dog. I'm medium sized and that's good because I love to be in your lap! I give lots of kisses and love hugs. I came to the shelter as a stray and spent three months there waiting for someone to come take me home, but no one came. Then a foster mom showed up and now I'm loving my new foster home. I am crate and house trained and ready for a forever home. I am doing great at not jumping and I know how to sit. I would love to be your only dog and your constant companion. I'm spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative and microchipped. My adoption fee is $200. Please apply for me at rescueofhope.com!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mylie, a Grand Rapids Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Grand Rapids, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Grand Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
