Sadie's Story...
I'd like to introduce you to Miss Sadie. She's a sweet dignified old gal who's looking for a nice calm place to spend her retirement. She may be 12yrs old but you wouldn't know it other than she loves her naps. Sadie is very well behaved, has wonderful manners and adapted to our routine almost immediately, not something that always so easy for a senior dog. I'm not sure of she ever slept in a kennel before but she goes in her kennel without a peep or any fuss. During the day when I'm at work, I leave her out with my other 3 and there's never any issues or accidents. If you're looking an assembled, out of the box ready to go dog, she's your girl.

I'd love to tell you it's all sunshine and rainbows in Sadie's world but it's not. Due to the circumstances in her previous life, she does have some anxiety issues around the door, mostly when anyone goes in or out the door. It's nothing major but you'll need to have some patience with her while she works it out and learns that the door shouldn't be a source of stress for her, she's already made a great improvement in a short time.

Don't miss out on this amazing girl, she's got a lot of love to give!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sadie, a Calgary Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Calgary, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Calgary.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Calgary already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Calgary breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Calgary paves the way for another one to be saved.
