Trumpet Chubs's Story...
We rescued the adorable triplets Tootsie, Trumpet and Trouble at a tender age of 4 weeks from a kill shelter. A loving - human - foster mom stood in for a kitty mom, providing bottled kitten milk replacement every 4 hours, keeping them warm, happy, clean and healthy.

The kitten with tabby face is Trumpet Chubs and she is a female. Her brothers were adopted. she is a best friend Bonnie Brown and it would be swell if you can adopt them together but Trumpet will make a great companion for any cat or kitten. She is the most lovable, adorable and sweet kitten ever.

Trumpet tested positive for FIV (feline aids) and negative for FELV. They will be retested in a few weeks and while we hope they will test negative for FIV, we know that FIV is not a debilitating illness and most FIV+ cats live a healthy, long lives.

Trumpet is 7 weeks old now. She will be fixed in 2-3 months, we will also follow up with vaccinations and retest them.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trumpet Chubs, a Brooklyn American Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a American Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
