Petunia's Story...
Petunia – Beautiful Chihuahua Mix Looking for her forever Home!
Petunia is relieved to be rescued from a high kill shelter in North Carolina on such a beautiful sunny day! This little redhead is a 10 lbs of personality and cuteness wrapped up into one little body! She's approx. 1 and very sweet. She loves to be held, but plays well with the other dogs. She is on our lap quite a bit and even my husband carries her around! I think she'll be great with kids, cats, and other dogs; any of the above would be lucky to share their lives with her. Petunia has the kind of personality that makes you look forward to sunny mornings and cups of coffee! She'll be an easy keeper for young or old, most importantly- she's QUIET! No barking!!! She doesn't seem to be shedding at all. She is altered, up to date on shots and microchipped. Crate trained and house trained. She is being fostered in Queen Anne, Md. She is up to date on shots and spayed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Petunia, a Frederick Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Frederick, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Frederick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Frederick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Frederick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Frederick paves the way for another one to be saved.
