Sunny's Story...
Fun Loving German Shepherd Lab Mix Ready for his Forever Home – Meet Sunny!

Sunny is an 11 month old neutered German Shepherd/Lab mix. He is about 42 pounds of cuteness and joy! Sunny is being fostered with a cat currently. They get along great but it is very important for them to have a proper introduction. He does not care for his crate very much, and prefers to sleep leashed next to your bed. Sunny is young so he does still have some of that puppy energy but he is showing signs of maturity. He is learning how to walk on a leash and knows several commands. Sunny is also a great jogging buddy. He is wonderful at the dog park and enjoys playing with other dogs. Sunny would do best living with another dog of similar age/energy level, or as the only dog in the house. If you would like to meet Sunny, please fill out an application. Sunny is fostered in Baltimore, MD and is ready for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sunny, a Frederick German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Frederick, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Frederick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Frederick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Frederick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Frederick paves the way for another one to be saved.
