Gimli's Story...
Meet Gimli 1-2 year old Corgi/Mystery Mix – Total Package!

Gimli is about 30 lbs., neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, and recently recovering from heartworm treatment. He has very soft medium length fur and loves to smile! Even though he rides low to the ground, Gimli is a goofy, happy-go-lucky fella that loves to gallop and be in your company. At the end of the day, he is content to lay by your feet and or cuddle with you. He is good with other dogs and pays no mind to cats. His foster mom has not seen him interact with children, but he is such a people-loving guy that she believes he'd be fine with them. He is a perfect gentleman on car rides. He is recently crate trained and 95% housetrained. We believe he may have spent most of his previous life outside, so he is still learning the rules of being inside. With any new furry friend, it will take him a little time to adjust to a new home. One thing he learns quickly is how to snuggle and love you! If you're looking for a compact bundle of affection and good company, Gimli is your man. Gimli is fostered in Frederick, MD and he is ready for a second chance for forever happiness.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gimli, a Frederick Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi for sale in Frederick, or seeking a Corgi dog from a breeder in Frederick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Frederick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Frederick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi breeders who help with Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Frederick paves the way for another one to be saved.
