Mickey's Story...

Mickey was rescued as a little kitten by, Harry, a very nice man. He had 6 wonderful years of in a loving home and then sadly Harry died and his family put Mickey out into the street along with, Nina, another cat Harry had rescued. They lived outside for several months. Thank God a neighbor cared for them until they were finally rescued, or they would have starved. Poor Nina developed lymphoma and died a few weeks ago. Mickey is an awesome cat but he a bit nervous when he first meets someone new and will hide. Once he gets to know you he will follow you around like a puppy just to be with you. He's super loving and affectionate and just a wonderful kitty. Mickey would be best as the only cat in the house or with a one gentle kitty. Mickey is about 6 years old, neutered, negative for FLV and FIV and vaccinated. He's in foster care, and because there are several aggressive cats in this home he has to be keep in a separate room by himself. He's very lonely and sits by the door crying for attention. Please give this sweet boy the loving home he once had. Please call 845-634-0345. If unavailable please leave a message.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mickey, a New City Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in New City, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in New City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New City paves the way for another one to be saved.
