GEORGE's Story...
This is GEORGE. He was found as a stray by one of our EARS volunteers He was such a sweet boy and since no owner could be located, his new foster mom decided he could stay with her and her family of four-footed babies until the perfect home could be found for him. We are thinking he is a Border Collie mix, about 35-40 pounds is neutered and current on vaccinations. Foster Mom says he does well with kids and cats and pays no attention to other dogs or horses.

We will be posting additional pictures ASAP.

If you are interested in meeting GEORGE, please go to www.earsrescue.org and complete the adoption application. His adoption fee is $200.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

GEORGE, a Odessa Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Odessa, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Odessa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Odessa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Odessa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Odessa paves the way for another one to be saved.
